We collect information needed to operate TailTales, support your account, generate pet creative assets, and publish content when you ask us to.
Account information
- Name, email address, and authentication identifiers provided through Clerk.
- Workspace settings, preferences, plan information, and support communications.
Pet and creative content
- Pet photos, generated images, videos, prompts, captions, and publishing metadata.
- Pet ID reference sets, approval decisions, regeneration history, lock status, and generation results.
- File names, media metadata, storage keys, preview URLs, and related diagnostics needed to process media.
Publishing information
- Connected platform, authorization status, external account identifiers, display labels, and publish target status returned by UniPost.
- Caption, hashtags, visibility choices, AI-content-label choices, scheduling details, and delivery results for selected platforms.
Usage, billing, and device information
- API and application logs such as route, status, duration, and error diagnostics.
- Credit balances, credit reservations, successful settlements, plan limits, Stripe customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, and checkout status.
- Basic device, browser, session, and security information needed for authentication, fraud prevention, and service reliability.
How We Use Information
- Create, review, regenerate, lock, and manage Pet IDs and reference sets.
- Generate prompts, images, videos, captions, and publish-ready short-form content.
- Show dashboards, generation history, content cards, billing status, and publishing status.
- Reserve, settle, release, and audit credits for paid generations.
- Connect to publishing destinations through UniPost and send selected content to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or other supported destinations.
- Authenticate accounts, detect abuse, troubleshoot failures, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing of Information
We share information only when needed to provide TailTales, follow your instructions, or comply with law.
- Clerk processes authentication and account identity information.
- Stripe processes checkout, subscription, payment, tax, and billing portal activity.
- UniPost processes connected-account authorization and publishing requests for platforms you choose.
- AI and media infrastructure providers, including configured Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Google Cloud Storage, Cloudflare R2, and hosting providers, may process creative inputs and outputs needed for generation, storage, preview, and delivery.
- Social platforms receive the content, caption, account, and publishing instructions you choose to send through TailTales.
- We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or a valid governmental request.
Cookies and Tracking
TailTales uses essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, and application preferences.
We do not sell personal information and do not use advertising cookies or behavioral advertising trackers on the TailTales product.
Third-Party Services and Platforms
Your use of connected publishing destinations is also governed by those platforms' own terms, privacy policies, and content rules. TailTales routes publishing through UniPost and does not control third-party platform availability, review decisions, labeling requirements, or account enforcement.
Data Retention
- Account, workspace, Pet ID, project, and generation records are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
- Media and generated outputs are retained while they remain part of your workspace, unless you delete or archive them where the product allows.
- Billing records, credit ledger entries, webhook receipts, and audit records may be retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
- After account deletion, we aim to remove or de-identify personal information within 30 days unless retention is required by law or legitimate operational needs.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can review and update account settings in TailTales or through the configured authentication provider.
- You can disconnect publishing accounts where the product supports disconnection.
- Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of certain personal information.

Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect TailTales data, including HTTPS, authenticated account access, provider access controls, short-lived media access where configured, billing handled by Stripe, and operational logging for security monitoring.
No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, connected platform accounts, and any files you download from TailTales.
Children's Privacy
TailTales is not intended for children under 16. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use TailTales on behalf of an organization.
International Data Transfers
TailTales is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the product or by email.
